Mandala Magic with Pine Tree Quilt Guild

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of visiting the Pine Tree Quilt Guild up in Grass Valley, CA for a Challenge Yourself! lecture/trunk show followed by a 2-day Magnificent Mandalas workshop.  What a pleasure to create beautiful mandalas with this talented group of quilters for two whole days!!  The first morning started out with some doodle exercises to find our Zen.

Here are just a few of the stunning mandalas that were designed and doodled in the morning!

After lunch, it was time to break out the sewing machines and start stitching all new mandala designs.

I had so much fun watching everyone's mandalas grow and blossom over the next day and a half...so much fun that I forgot to document more via photography!!

After the first workshop day, a group of us met up for shopping and dinner.  Almost everywhere we looked, we discovered Mandala inspiration:  mexican tiles, floor mat, and more!
