100 Days of Mark Making on Fabric: Week 13

One last color to explore in this 100 Day Project; Purple!! Another 2 yards of fabric were marked, painted, and printed using a variety of purple mediums and techniques which I will share below!

85/100: Artist's Choice + Quadrilaterals

Playing with a plethora of pretty purple markers to paint a peppy patchwork party (say that 10xs fast!!)

86/100: Pens + Wavy Lines

“People are like dice. We throw ourselves in the direction of our own choosing.”
― Jean-Paul Sartre, French philosopher and writer

Today's dice roll involved using several purple Sakura Gelli Roll pens. I've been trying to carve out time to reflect on my art, teaching, and future directions to explore. While my ideas may be scattered all over the place at the present, I hope to channel them forward into something that I love and enjoy!

87/100: Artist's Choice (Paint) + Artist's Choice (Spirals)

Stamping with spiral/spirangle paper clips (just had to bend the clip portion to make a handle) and Color Shift acrylic paint to create order and energy.

“We are not going in circles, we are going upwards. The path is a spiral; we have already climbed many steps.”
-Hermann Karl Hesse, German-born Swiss poet, novelist, and painter

SJ Weather report=Perfect for pole wrapped shibori using Dye-Na-Flow and ProChem's Pro Silk & Fabric paints!!

This time I experimented wrapping the fabric onto the cannister in 4 different ways. You can watch each reveal followed by a photo of the finished fabric.

They are all pretty awesome! Which is your favorite?πŸ’œ

89/100: Pens + Quadrilaterals

Pattern Play Party using Sakura Micron pens!!

90/100: Markers + Triangles

A flock of flying geese using Ecoline Brush Pens.

91/100: Textile Paints + Artist's Choice

Time to play "Guess what objects were used to stamp these designs!?!?" Here are a few helpful hints:
-There are a total of 4 objects used to stamp all these designs.
-One is from our to-go breakfast.
-Two objects are office supplies.
-The last object is from a past travel trip.

Good luck! I'll post photos of the objects below...

And this brings the grand total to 33 yards of mark-making on fabric. A little over a week to go until the finishing line...

And here are the answers to the items that were stamped in Day 91/100:
-Bottom of bowl from Taco Bell Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes
-pen
-highlighter
-hotel room key

This 100 Day Project has me looking around my surroundings for all new texture and pattern possibilities!! You never know what may show up in my printing!?!
