Over the next few days, I'll be sharing my highlights from
QuiltCon 2018 in Pasadena, CA. Let's start with my first impression: the extraordinary display of quilts made for the
Charity Quilt Challenge that lined the entire Convention Center hallway as well as the entire perimeter of the large lecture hall. Local MQGs and/or teams of Individual MQG members were invited to create a charity quilt using the pre-selected warm color palette and celebrating Modern Traditionalism in both design and quilting elements. The color palette gave a cohesive look to the entire display. Not only will these quilts be donated to local charities, but each was truly a stunning work of art.
